ABOUT A MORE BETTER HOME

About Me

Thank you so much for your curiosity about me and my work. I’m Ami Pierce, a corporate drop-out, who finally stopped resisting the calling I’ve had since childhood: creating spaces that feel good, look beautiful, and support people on every level.

Whether you’re a guest relaxing in a home I designed and built, a client breaking through internal blocks between you and your dreams, or a shopper exploring artwork and curated pieces from my spaces, my mission is always the same: to make your experience feel intentional, supportive, and beautiful.

What Is A More Better Home?

A More Better Home is my boutique hospitality-and-design brand dedicated to creating spaces and pieces that help people relax, feel inspired, and reconnect with themselves.

Every home, every product, and every artwork is chosen or created with emotional intention because beauty means nothing if it doesn’t also make you feel something.

My Design Beginnings

For the astrology geeks out there, I’m a Taurus with Saturn in my 4th house… which basically means I was cosmically doomed (or blessed!) to build beautiful homes, create cozy sanctuaries, and turn comfort into an art form.

I started designing when I was still a kid, studying architectural plans in magazines and even getting to design my own bedroom and bathroom when my parents custom-built our home. But I never imagined it would become a career. I did everything I could to avoid it. I launched myself into the corporate world at 22 and spent 22 years climbing a ladder that was never actually mine.

But as I eventually learned… you can’t suppress what you’re meant to do forever.

Even while I was buried in corporate life, I designed my little heart out anywhere I could. I repainted my college bathroom three times, bought and designed my first custom-built condo at 24, served as general contractor for my own French estate at 31, renovated my picturesque river cabin, and eventually built a modern duplex in Atlanta.

No matter where I lived, I couldn’t help but make every space both comfortable and beautiful. And when I started working with my mindset coach, everything clicked:

I could actually make a living doing what I love.

Once that belief landed, everything fell into place, and A More Better Home was born.

My Design Philosophy

I design with one core belief: a home should change how you feel, not just how it looks.

  • I want you to breathe deeper when you walk in.
  • I want your shoulders to drop.
  • I want your nervous system to exhale.
  • I want you to feel held.

My work blends beauty, comfort, intention, and energetic alignment. I think of homes as living, breathing environments that should support your joy, your rest, and your dreams, not just serve as a backdrop to your life.

What This Means for You

Whether you’re staying in one of my homes as a guest, working with me as a coaching client, or bringing a curated piece or artwork into your own home, my intention is that you leave feeling:

  • more relaxed
  • more inspired
  • more connected to yourself

This isn’t just décor. This is emotional architecture. It’s about designing spaces that support your well-being and make your life feel a little more beautiful.

The Artists & Artwork Behind the Brand

One of the most fulfilling parts of this journey has been building friendships with incredible artists whose work I feature in my homes.

One artist in particular, Kristie Fujiyama Kosmides, helped me tap into my own inner artist and inspired me to start creating original pieces that match the feeling-tone I want guests to experience. Creating art has been liberating, joyful, and deeply personal, and it’s an honor to share both my work and theirs with people who appreciate heartfelt and intentional beauty.

Curating the Perfect Touches

Another part of this business I unexpectedly fell in love with is finding the exact products that elevate my guests’ experience, from wallpaper to glassware to storage containers.

I will truly go to the end of the internet for the perfect fit.  Just ask my partner, he gets exasperated (lovingly) by my ability to spend six hours researching the “right” soap dispenser.

But those tiny details matter. And if something doesn’t meet the mark? It gets replaced. Immediately.

Because your experience deserves the best version of what I can give.

What Makes A More Better Home Different

There’s no mass production, no filler items, no “good enough.”

What makes my work unique is:

  • I design with emotional intention, not just aesthetics.
  • I’m a mindset coach, so I understand how deeply our environments affect how we feel.
  • I obsess over the little things so you don’t have to.
  • Every space is crafted to be both beautiful and nourishing to your nervous system.
  • Everything you see is curated with purpose — often from artists I know personally or brands I use in my own home.

This isn’t just hospitality or décor.  It’s an energetic experience.

My Guiding Principles

  • Intention — Nothing is random. Everything has a purpose and a feeling behind it.
  • Beauty — Aesthetics matter because how you feel matters.
  • Comfort — Cozy, functional, and lived-in is always better than perfect-but-unusable.
  • Quality — If I wouldn’t put it in my own home, I won’t put it in yours.
  • Healing — A well-designed space can soften your nervous system and awaken possibility.
  • Creativity — I believe creativity is one of the purest forms of joy. It’s the spark that turns a space into an experience and invites inspiration into your daily life. From the art on the walls to the way light moves through a room, I design to awaken that spark, in myself and in anyone who walks through the door.

These are the values that guide every home I build, every product I recommend, and every piece of art I create.

Ami
